 Braiding Clinic with Elyse Taillefer

Elyse offered her time to teach a braiding clinic focused on hunter braids. After a demonstration of mane pulling, and how to braid hunter plaits, each participant got some hand's on practice (on our lovely models Tilly & Brandy) and Elyse helped them learn to make the braids tidy and uniform!

 Two Stride NESS #2 & Central Classic Trillium was a blast! 

• Julia & Brandy “French Connection” placed 5th in their w/t eq, 1st in their w/t/c eq (and EARNED that ribbon- so so proud of that ride), and had a lovely course over fences building confidence & strategy! 
• Taylor and Happy “Join the Club" jumped over to the Trillium ring, and won their B eq on the Flat, and had a 1st, 4th & 5th in the Long Stirrup over fences. Finishing 3rd overall in their division. 

So proud of my riders & ponies today! Especially after recovering from a hot week. 

We attended the RES Skills Development show on June 13th with 2 pairs of horses & riders.

• Lana & Tilly "Till We Meet Again" were champions of the 2'3" Hunter Division. This was Lana's first show, and she rode very effectively to secure 1st place in all of her classes!
• Ali & Freddie "Fedorova" took part in the Green Horse Division, and secured Reserve Champion! This was Freddie's first off-property experience & show, and she handled it amazingly! 

At the first NESS show of the year, we brought 3 pairs of horses & riders, and it was a great day! Our riders worked together as a team to have the day run smoothly, and all gained valuable knowledge & experience, while having fun!

• Anna & Tilly "Till We Meet Again" were champions of the Cross Rail Division.
• Abigail & Happy "Join The Club" were champions of the Developing Equitation 1'9" Division, which was Happy's first outing in hunterland!
• Julia & Brandy "French Connection" grew Brandy's confidence off-property, at Brandy's first show EVER!
